What is held and what is not

The ISO record gives the designation, edition, stage, stage dates, page count, committee, ICS and abstract. The free OBP preview gives the complete contents, foreword, introduction, clauses 1 and 2, the ten defined terms and the bibliography; clauses 4 to 10 are restricted in it. The national adoption sample gives the DIS front matter through the start of clause 3. The 2021 sample gives the earlier front matter and clauses 1 to 5.5.

What is not held: the licensed text of clauses 4 to 10, the full text of the 2021 edition, and any change ISO makes to pages it does not publish. The record says so on every clause page that is affected.

Why the hashes matter

The hash lets a reader confirm that a later change is a real change and not a reread. The refresh script compares the live source against the hash and the record, and fails loudly when either moves.

Related standards

The record names ISO/IEC 27555:2021, ISO/IEC 29100, ISO/IEC 27701, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27002 and ISO/IEC 27557 as the surrounding practice. They are used for context, not as a substitute for the draft. The normative reference in the draft itself is ISO/IEC 29100:2011.
